In Advice, Tips, and Questions
Hi, my name is Seyram and I am a DP1 student. The IB coursework requires a lot of dedication and perseverance. Procrastination and laziness should be your enemies( especially with the thousand and one deadlines you have to meet). I tend to procrastinate a lot, but I am changing. Here are some tips that I use to help; -Organize your thoughts: Draft what you have to do and set deadlines for them. Create a schedule/timetable as well. - Set realistic goals for yourself: Baby steps! Start with tasks you can easily do and continue from there. Remember, multitasking does not help, you just end up getting distracted! -Time yourself: Do your tasks in time blocks. You can allocate more or less time to a task, it all depends on you. Take breaks: Our brain tends to lose focus without breaks, especially within your time blocks. Please I am begging you don't fry your brain! Reward yourself: You deserve a reward after completing all those assignments. Listen to music, watch your favorite show (don't binge an entire season though) and rest. Bonus tip: Ask for help when needed! Hope these help :)
